PROJECTS - 2013
Projects funded and or completed in 2013 are highlighted below.
Cook Village
HOPE COLLEGE
The apartment complex designed to provide housing catered to upper-level students will house 60 students and include four townhouse-style apartments located in the area of 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue, Holland, MI. The Foundation's $1.5 million gift to this project shows a continued commitment to Hope College, with naming recognition given to Peter's son Tom and his grandson Ryan who are appropriately both Hope alumni. The housing project is expected to house its first students in the fall of 2013, thus freeing other housing options for the expanding freshman class.
Cook Track
AQUINAS COLLEGE
Aquinas College will soon be sporting a new indoor track facility as part of phase II of the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center. The Foundation committed $250,000 over a five year period to help build an indoor track and courts for intramural competition and indoor practice. Ground breaking has yet to be scheduled on this exciting addition to Aquinas college.
Cook-Claus House
WEDGWOOD CHRISTIAN SERVICES
The Cook-Claus Home for Transitional Living opened in 2008 and was renovated in 2012. The Foundation provided funding of $200,000 as part of a five year pledge commitment.
